In obedience to God’s direction, Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches, Inc. has embraced the corporate goal of participating in the establishing and oversight of many churches first in the United States, in addition to establishing various apostolic churches on continents around the World. We reverently acknowledge that God has kindly placed upon us the responsibility to plant and nurture churches and to provide direction for its leadership in these critical closing days of the Church Age.
In the pursuit of these ministerial objectives, we identify the following terms as necessary for participation in The Fellowship.
Any church, para-church ministry or leader, including, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, bishops or overseer willing to agree with these conditions will benefit greatly as they share the blessings that God is providing to The Church through this ministry. Churches and its leaders may affiliate with the Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches, Inc. under the following terms and conditions:
Receiving Apostolic Leadership and Oversight
There must be a willingness to receive Apostle Henry B. Alexander, as the yielded and authorized leader of this Fellowship, and as its “apostolic leader”, acknowledging the mandate that God has given him, and submitting to his authority.
Additionally, he is to be regarded as a consulting spiritual overseer who will watch for the spiritual condition of The Fellowship affiliate churches, its leadership and saints, without respect of persons, providing instruction for leaders as they seek to obey God in their respective places of service.
Financial Participation
As ministry partners our leadership team must be a willingness to contribute to the financial welfare of the Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches, Inc. as directed by the Lord. Affiliate Churches through its leadership are expected to tithe (10% of church income) as a supporting offering for the many beneficial and benevolent activities of The Fellowship.
Maintaining Devotional Life
Leaders in our fellowship must make a commitment to maintain a consistent and regular prayer life with accompanying devotional habits. Despite busy schedules and the many demands of ministry, each church leader is challenged to be alone with God at least one consistent hour per day on a regular basis.
Ongoing Educational Development
Each church leader is asked to explore the feasibility of enrolling in an accredited distance-learning program to continue his/her study and education as to the Scriptures and ministry dynamics such as is offered through the official academic institution of the Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches, Inc. or one at least commensurate with its standards and accreditations.
Commitment to Biblical Truth
There must be an absolute and total commitment to teach and preach biblical truth as revealed in scripture, amplified by the Holy Ghost, and mutually embraced and understood by the Executive Council of the Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches, Inc.
Church Planting
There must be a willingness to seek aggressively for the propagation of the faith through the planting of new congregations of believers, ministries and churches whenever possible. We reverently acknowledge that God has placed upon us the responsibility to plant and nurture churches and to provide direction for its leadership in these critical closing days of the Church Age.
Receiving Correction
There must be a willingness to receive correction and accept confrontation when any doctrinal error is detected, and to humbly take corrective measures when justified, especially in areas of teaching, preaching and lifestyle.
Godly Deportment
Each church leader must be accountable to the Executive Council concerning the lifestyle of personal holiness and deportment in all facets and aspects of ministry, church administration and related affairs, family, community, business, and generally in all activities as an ambassador of Jesus Christ.
Family Life
Each church leader is to recognize the critical importance of sensitive family leadership and must manifest the love of Christ in family relationships. Further, there must be a vigilant concern for other ministerial families, and a willingness to minister to them in times of crisis or need.
Maintaining Ministerial Excellence
Each church leader must commit himself/herself to excellence in all facets of pastoral and ministerial work, with an observable eagerness to obtain and obey the direction of God in all matters of ministry and personal spiritual growth. Leaders will be expected to coordinate church calendars and cooperate with other fellowship churches and their leadership in the immediate area for the mutual benefit of each other when possible.
Godliness in Business Practices
There must be a willingness to conform business practices, both personal and ministerial, to the highest standards of godliness and biblical morality. All church business activities must be ethically sound, well organized, and executed in accordance with the spirit and letter of regulating agencies and authorities.
